HELLO

I am Shaakera, the owner and instructor at Pilates Paradise in Mauritius.

My Pilates journey began almost a decade ago and has been instrumental in managing my symptoms of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), a condition I was recently diagnosed with. This transformative experience has significantly enhanced both my physical and mental well-being, reinforcing my belief in the healing potential of movement.

At Paradise Pilates, my aim is to cultivate a supportive environment where I can share the advantages of Pilates and life coaching with you. I am passionate about teaching small, intimate classes because they allow me to provide personalised attention and create a sense of community among participants.

My mission is to empower women along their wellness paths, supporting them in achieving healthier, more fulfilling lives.

My approach

At Paradise Pilates, I embrace a personalised and holistic approach, dedicated to understanding and meeting the individual needs of each client. I often incorporate a variety of Pilates props into most sessions to ensure they are both engaging and effective.

Having personally benefited from Pilates, I deeply empathise with my clients' health journeys and am committed to supporting them in overcoming challenges.
